Description: Feedback from accreting black holes (AGN) has been implicated in solving a large number of problems in galaxy formation. However, a diverse range of physical processes are associated with AGN, and the implementation of these processes in numerical simulations of galaxy formation has often been schematic. I will present results from a new suite of numerical hydrodynamic simulations in which we have included a suite of physical processes associated with radiatively efficient black hole accretion, as well as massive stars and supernovae. We carry out experiments in which some processes are switched off to determine which are driving the observable galaxy properties. We track the inflows and outflows in these simulations, and characterize the AGN- and stellar-driven winds that are generated. I will discuss the insights we have gained into how AGN-driven winds shape galaxy properties. (2:00 PM, Meyer 5th Fl. CCPP Lounge)
