Research:

My general research interests lie within cosmology and particle physics. I am interested in theories of gravity modified at large distances. These models display very interesting phenomena like the screening of sources, and may provide an explanation of the accelerated expansion of the universe observed at present. I am also interested in the dynamics of gravity and cosmology in brane world models. These models capture some features of string theory like the presence of extra dimensions, and have a very rich phenomenology. In this context, I have worked on mechanisms for moduli stabilization based on quantum effects, and on the physics of the small black holes which would be produced at accelerators in models with large extra dimensions.
