Abstract: MHD turbulence and magnetic field are two of the most essential elements in galaxies. They crucially regulate cosmic ray propagation, star formation, and galaxy evolution , but are challenging to study. The presentation will focus on the correlation of MHD turbulence and magnetic fields in astrophysics. I will show that the anisotropy of MHD turbulence provides a novel method to map the Galactic Magnetic Field orientation and strength in three dimensions. I will also present the magnetic field for the Central Molecular Zone (around Sgr A*) and nearby galaxies M51 and NGC 1097 and discuss the magnetic field's role in fueling of Seyfert nuclei. |
