Abstract: We will show how cavity-mediated interactions can generate metrologically-useful entanglement in large ensembles of solid-state spins, enabling unprecedented sensitivity in the search for axion dark matter coupled to electrons. By surpassing the standard quantum limit through spin squeezing, this approach could improve measurement precision by orders of magnitude, extend spin coherence times, and open avenues for other advanced sensing techniques. The proposed entanglement protocol will be implemented in Emily Davis' CQP lab over the next 3 years as part of a DOE QuantiSED 2.0 seed award. |
